Navigating the 76 Stone Steps
Devotees ascend 76 wide stone steps to reach the main rampart of the temple fortress. The central shrine enshrines an endearing idol of Maa Anjana holding baby Hanuman on her lap. While climbing:
- Elderly Assistance: The steps are manageable with intermediate landings, but senior citizens should ascend during early morning hours (05:00 AM - 07:00 AM) to avoid midday heat and crowd rush.
- Monkey Protocols: Ayodhya's resident simians are playful yet bold. Devotees are advised to hold prasad bags securely and avoid wearing loose sunglasses or caps.
- Besan Ke Laddoo: The traditional offering at Hanuman Garhi is pure desi ghee Besan Laddoos, freshly made by certified sweetmakers along the temple approach lane.
Operational Timing & Flow
